How to Buy and Sell on eBay

Search for items

  1. Decide whether to use keyword search or to browse by category. Keyword search is the quickest and simplest way to find a specific item, whereas by browsing by category you're more likely to find the lowest price on the generic item. If keyword search is selected to continue to step two if 'browse by category' is selected continue to step five.

  2. Enter the keyword or keywords into the search box. Using multiple keywords will help reduce the number of unintended search results that are found. The downside of using multiple keywords is that it may hinder the chances of finding an item in which the seller used different keywords. The more keywords you use the more narrow the search results will be.

  3. Select a category in which the search. If you are unsure which category to search, leave this as the default setting which is all categories. Click on 'Search' once a category has been chosen. Once you click on search you will be redirected to the search result page reminded that the keywords you are keywords used in title of honor eBay item search results will appear in your browser. If no results are found in eBay does not offer any alternate keywords, go back to step two and enter new keywords. if no results are found but eBay offers alternate keywords go to step seven

  5. Using the sidebar refine your search criteria. And refine your search criteria to based on categories, price: minimum or maximum, or seller if you had previously that experience with certain sellers may be optimal to choose him to purchase from

  6. if the desired item was not found on the list of results when it's time to change the keywords. Occasionally even though an item was found, you may be able to find it cheaper by adjusting the keywords . When sending keywords keep in mind that, in terms will turn up more results along with using less keywords. You can also change the category to 'All Categories,' in order to find more results.

  7. if you decide to browse by category, click on the 'Categories ' button on the top menu bar. This will redirect you to the 'Category' webpage.

  8. Once on the 'Category' webpage you must select a category. Click on 'More' at the bottom of each sub-category to see more subcategories. Selecting a category will redirect the browser to a page listing all the subcategories in that category. If you select a subcategory, this will redirect your browser to search results for that subcategory. Please note that not all subcategories will be listed.

  9. If the category is selected, you must then select subcategory.

  10. If a subcategory is selected then you are redirected to the search results page. Once you are directed to the search results page, browse the result. You want to look to see if the item you are looking for was found. You want to know if the search needs to be redefined so that you the more results for the item you're looking for. If there were not many results found, side were the keywords to specific? Once you have found the listing you are looking for click on the item's title to be redirected to the item's webpage.If the item was found continue to buy the item.
