Task Completion Time

Task Completion Time is used to indicate actual or estimated completion time for a Task. Times can be entered in any of the following time units:

  • Seconds
  • Minutes
  • Hours
  • Days
  • Weeks

The default time unit for new TaskMaps is minutes, however, you can change the default for any TaskMap drawing by using the TaskMap Options button on the TaskMap toolbar. You can also change the time units for individual Tasks by selecting a different unit type from the pulldown list displayed when you select Define Task Details… for the Task. If you change the time units for a Task, the software automatically converts the Task Completion Time value to reflect the new units. For more information refer to Working with TaskMap Time Fields.

If you assign a Task Completion Time to a Task, the time and an abbreviation for the appropriate time units are displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the Task box. The example on the left shows a Task Completion Time of 2.5 hours; the figure on the right shows a Task that includes both a Frequency of Occurrence and a Task Completion Time.

Hint: Time conversions are performed automatically. For example, if a Task shows 2.5 hours, as in the figure above, and you change the units to minutes, the Task will now show 150 minutes.
