TaskMap Capture for Excel

NOTE: This topic applies only to users of TaskMap Professional.

TaskMap Capture for Excel is a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet template that has been preconfigured with all of the Task fields used by TaskMap Professional. You can import Task data into a TaskMap by entering it into columns in a TaskMap Capture for Excel worksheet.

Before you begin to enter data into your TaskMap Capture for Excel worksheet, you can pre-fill dropdown lists in the spreadsheet by extracting information from a TaskMap or TaskMap template of your choosing. The following lists are extracted:

For example, if you have previously created a list of role names in a customized TaskMap template, you can have your own role names appear in the dropdown lists for all TaskMap Capture role fields.

There are two ways to populate the TaskMap Capture spreadsheet with TaskMap data:

NOTE: To create a TaskMap Capture for Excel worksheet you must have valid licenses for Microsoft Visio 2007 Professional, Microsoft Excel and TaskMap Professional.
