Task shapes now feature Smart Tags that provide one-click access to key Task data and functions.
Single-click Selection of Task Shape
The Task shape now requires just a single left or right click for access to its data properties and the hyperlink dialog.
Automatic Layout of New TaskMap Pages
The new autolayout wizard makes short work of creating a new TaskMap page: just tell it how many Tasks you'd like on the page, how many Tasks to place in each row and whether you'd like it to draw Task Links between each pair of Tasks. The wizard will create your map in seconds.
Produce TaskMaps more quickly by “shooting” Task Links from any Task to an adjacent Task – no need to drag Task Links from the stencil onto the page.
Splittable Task Links
When you drop a Task onto a Task Link arrow, the Task Link splits into two and both arrows reconnect to the new Task

Check My Map
Do you have any duplicate Task IDs? Are all of your Task Links connected on both ends? Is your map too complex? You can now have TaskMap check the validity of your TaskMap by examining these and other aspects of your map.

Want to turn your TaskMap into a Microsoft Project plan? You can easily do so by using the new Save as Project feature.

You’ve created a TaskMap of your process and now you’d like to create and manage a project based on your map. TaskMap v4 makes this easy to do by creating a copy of your TaskMap (and corresponding TaskMap Capture workbooks, if any), allowing you to track project status and completion.
Additional User-defined Fields
Utilize as many as three customizable user-defined fields for each Task shape. You can assign a name to each field and you can even designate whether each field should contain numeric, text, date, currency or list-based data.
