Important Information for TaskMap Version 2 & 3 Customers
With the very successful release of TaskMap 4 in December 2010, TaskMap now runs with Microsoft Visio 2010, 2007 and 2003. In addition, we support the Window 7, Vista and Windows XP operating systems. If you have a TaskMap maintenance plan and have not yet upgraded to TaskMap 4, you can do so at any time.
Because TaskMap 4 provides broad support for Microsoft products and has so many enhancements and new features, we have begun discontinuing support for older versions of TaskMap. As we previously announced in May, older TaskMap versions will reach end of life on the schedule shown below:
TaskMap Version 2
All support for this version of the product was discontinued on June 30, 2011.
TaskMap Version 3
Delivery & support for this version will be discontinued on September 30, 2011.
Purchase an upgrade to Version 4 to begin using the latest version. For a limited time, your purchase of TaskMap 4 will include a six-month maintenance plan to keep you up to date with new versions.
What’s Included in Version 4
For the first time in our history, the more powerful product, TaskMap Professional has outsold TaskMap Standard edition, proof positive that simplicity and power do not have to be mutually exclusive in software design.

Single-click Task Selection. Previous versions of TaskMap required that you click twice to select a Task shape. With version 4, a single click is all you need! In addition, Tasks display SmartTags whenever you hover near them. SmartTags provide another single-click technique to define Task details or to add/edit a hyperlink.
Laying out TaskMaps is now faster than ever. Version 4 includes a new AutoConnect feature that lets you “shoot” TaskMap shapes (Tasks, Connectors, Start, & End with connecting Task Links) onto the page with a single click.
Auto-create TCE Workbook from Existing Map: Do you have an existing TaskMap and would like to maintain your data in a TaskMap Capture for Excel (TCE) workbook? TaskMap 4 will create a fully functional TCE workbook from any existing TaskMap, including all Task data, whether the map was created with TaskMap Standard or Professional.
Save as Project: Want to turn your TaskMap into a Microsoft Project plan? You can easily do so by using the new Save as Project feature.
Check My Map: Do you have any duplicate Task Ids? Are all of your Task Links connected on both ends? Is your map too complex? You can now have TaskMap check the validity of your TaskMap by examining these and other aspects of your map.
We truly appreciate your business and support, and hope that you will enjoy the new features and operating system support included with TaskMap 4.
