To ensure that your BPM project is going to be a resounding success, or at least reduce the risk of failure as much as possible, use this check list.
- Ensure the business goals and benefits are agreed by management.
- Engage executive sponsorship for the project and keep them involved.
- If a budget is needed, make sure it is there and tracked along every stage of the project.
- Publish the project plan to all involved, along with expected outcomes and roles.
- Make sure the tools to document, measure and communicate the project are in place for those that need them. If not get them in place before you start.
- Learn from others who have done this before, either in the organization or outside if needed.
