The ability to set a hyperlink pointer to individual slides in Office 2010 is no longer supported with native Office 2010 PowerPoint files; these are ones with the pptx. extension. If you want to create hyperlinks to individual slides using the TaskMap hyperlinking function, then follow these instructions.
1. Open file in PowerPoint
2. Select Save
3. Select Save as PowerPoint Show option (see below)
4. Save files in folder (determine best location for publishing access on your server or document repository)
5. Create Hyperlinks using document option in TaskMap (see picture below)
6. Browse to the file location from Step 4. and Select slide number you want to open hyperlink PowerPoint Show file. (example highlights #13)
7. Label Hyperlink description for slide required
8. Apply and Close
When this is complete you can test the link by selecting the hyperlink in TaskMap/Visio and then clicking the label accordingly. When clicked the PowerPoint Show application should start up at the selected slide.
