Decision Outcomes vs Parallel Paths

A portion of a TaskMap that represents multiple decision outcomes can look very similar to a map showing parallel paths and yet the meaning of these two situations is very different. In the first case, a decision results in only one of the possible outcomes; in the second case, a single outcome triggers events on multiple paths.

Consequently, it is useful to have two graphically distinct ways to show these two conditions. You might consider using the two samples shown below.
