Sharing PDF Files

To save a TaskMap® as a PDF (Portable Document Format) you will need a software product to create the PDF file. These are available from Adobe systems (www.adobe.com) and a number of other vendors. Once you have purchased and installed the PDF writer application, follow the software vendor’s instructions for creating the PDF file. In many cases you accomplish this by Selecting File/Print and "printing" the PDF document to your disk.

Not all PDF creation programs support Visio hyperlinks. For example, while the combination of Adobe Acrobat version 7.0 and Visio 2003 or 2007 will handle most types of hyperlinks, prior versions of either program will not create working hyperlinks.

New with Visio 2007

With the release of Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft now provides a free, downloadable add-in that creates PDF documents directly from Office applications including Visio. To download the add-in and use it with Visio 2007, go to Microsoft Office Online and search for save as pdf.
